Dodman Walk

Cornwall Trip: Day 7

Circular walk from Gorran Haven to Dodman Point, and then back to Mevagissey.

• 11:04 Bus from Mevagissey to Gorran Haven 11:40
• 11:50 Gorran Haven to Dodman Point 1:15
  Lunch at Dodman Point
• 1:30 Dodman Point to Hemmick Beach 2:00
• 2:10 Hemmick Beach to Penare 2:25
• 2:25 Penare to Gorran Haven via The Gruda 2:45
  Have about an hour before the bus back to Mevagissey, so decide to carry on walking around Chapel Point to Portmellon, which is about another two to three miles and I reckon I could do that in well under two hours - before sunset.

  As it turns out, I got to Portmellon not much after the bus would have left Gorran Haven, so stop for a very welcome couple of pints of Dunscar Bridge Steeplejack at the Rising Sun Inn.
• 5:20 Portmellon to Mevagissey 5:35

Dodman walk: 9 miles

After a lovely bath, and dinner, go out for a couple of pints of Tribute at the Fountain.
