| Marple Lock no. 15, Peak Forest Canal, Marple, Cheshire |
Continue back up the Macclesfield Canal to Marple, and then start the descent of the 16 lock Marple flight on the Peak Forest Canal. The Marple locks are quite fun. The first four run down a residential street with houses and gardens either side. The next four run alongside a park, and the rest through attractive open woodland.
