| Conduit Courtyard, Skipton Castle |
Spend so long in the castle that we get a message from Dave that he has finished the repairs and is now at the first swing bridge on the way out of the town. So we make our way back and along the towpath to eventually meet-up with the boat about two miles out of Skipton.
The weather turned really quite nice again for most of the day, until we were caught in a heavy shower going through Bank Newton Top Lock No 41. Just the wrong time for it to start raining, and we got pretty soaked. This particular section of the canal is supposed to be very picturesque, as the canal does a series of extravagant tight loops following the countours of the hills. However, in the rain we didn't really get to appreciate it that much.
