Leeds to Rodley

Oddy Staircase Locks Nos 4 and 5, Leeds
Met up with Andy at Oddy Lock a mile or so out of the centre of Leeds. This is a 2-rise staircase lock, the first of several 2- and 3-rise staircases that we will encounter over the next three days - culminating in the massive 5-rise staircase at Bingley.

By the time we reach Rodley it was raining quite heavily, and we got pretty cold and wet on the last set of locks.

There is also a problem with the engine (diesel bug), but fortunately Dave manages to get that sorted out by the amazingly efficient boat rescue service he subscribes to.

Dinner at the excellent Jaipur Indian Restaurant in Armley ( a local of Andy's).

Leeds - Tower Works to Rodley: 5.6 miles, 11 locks (inc. one 2-rise and two 3-rise staircase locks), 2 swing bridges
