Went to the Thames Water exhibition about the Thames Tunnel project consultation at the Surrey Docks Watersports Centre. Interesting, and the people there were very helpful. It seems that the current proposal will involve boring a secondary tunnel (from Greenwich to Chambers Wharf) right under our block, but at 45m deep it should not be a problem. Came away with a lot of detailed information about the proposals.
Afterwards, went to the recently opened Canada Water Library and enrolled. It is quite good inside, and am reasonably impressed with the design, layout, and facilities. It reminds me a bit of some other new libraries that we have visited - Amsterdam, for example - in feel, if not in scale.
