Very impressive production, but maybe a little too wide-ranging, a bit too much of this and that, without any real connecting narrative. The projections on the Queen's House were good, as were the aerial acrobatics, and the giant puppet was impressive, but nothing really linked them together - they were more like set pieces. And what was the crutch woman all about?
Overall very engaging, quite thrilling in places and well realised and organised. There were plenty of people there, but it didn't feel crowded, and there was not too much of a crush on the way out. We both enjoyed it and were glad we went.
A few late night drinks at the Rose & Crown afterwards.
